A number of teams headed to the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup will play friendly matches before leaving for Germany. This week it was announced that Australia will play two matches against New Zealand (12 May and 15 May). Colombia will play twice in Mexico (the two games scheduled for last week of April), while France host Scotland at the Stade Francis Wheat 20,000 seats at Brest May 18 Germany will play North Korea (21 May) , Italy (June 3), Netherlands (June 7) and Norway (June 16). U.S. will play against Japan on May 14 and May 18 before their game sendoff is scheduled for June 5 against Mexico at the Red Bull Arena. On 17 May, England play Sweden at Kassam Stadium in Oxford, England. Nigeria play Equatorial Guinea on two occasions, but not in friendly matches. The teams will compete in the Olympic qualifiers in 2012.
