Fernando Alonso has pledged his long-term contract extension with Ferrari at the end of 2016.
The announcement comes just one year in a contract worth several million pounds over three years, initially signed by the double world champion before last season.
Ahead of his home Grand Prix at Barcelona this weekend, "Alonso said:" I am very pleased to have concluded this agreement.
"I immediately felt at ease in the Ferrari, and now it feels to me like a second family."
In applying the pen for a very long time, Alonso is confident that Ferrari F1 will be closed.
"I have the utmost confidence in men and women who work in Maranello, and those who lead them," added Alonso.
"It's natural for me to decide to extend my long-term relationship with a team like this I'm probably going to end my career in Formula One someday."
Alonso started as a wonderful career in fashion last year with victory in his debut in Bahrain in March last year.
The 29 years but waited until July for his next victory, and in controversial circumstances in Germany.
Head of the race, his teammate Felipe Massa was forced to give up and allow for team orders to Alonso through codes that were banned at that time.
The result proved to be the beginning of a tax on Alonso, he recited three wins in four races in September and October, which places it within touching distance of his third title.
But in the last race in Abu Dhabi, a failed strategy proved costly pit stop, Alonso finished seventh miserable, missing the championship by four points for Sebastian Vettel.
Despite this setback and a troubled start to the current campaign, is convinced Ferrari Alonso is the man to lead them in the coming years.
President Luca di Montezemolo said: "It is a pleasure to have renewed our contract with a driver who always showed a winning mentality, even in the most difficult circumstances.
"Fernando has all the qualifications, both technically and personally, to play a prominent role in the history of Ferrari, and I hope that is enriched with wins again very soon."
